Thanks for checking out my latest video! This is my first "how to" style video so hopefully it's not too bad lol. In this video, I find a guitar pro file from 911tabs.com, load it into Tuxguitar (a free program like guitar pro), export the drum midi, then import the midi into Reaper. After that, you just check the midi hits and make sure they are what they should be i.e. kick, snare, toms, etc....

Why when I download and open with Tux there are no drum parts? They're there when I play from tab 911
It depends how the creator labeled them sometimes. Maybe the drum midi is there but it’s mislabeled as piano or something else? Any midi file can technically be used as drum midi. Look at each midi file in tux guitar and just see if one looks like it’s probably the drums.
Weird, trying to get fade to black and sanitarium from metallica and it will say Lars organ or Lars guitar, but none are drum parts. I downloaded 4 different guitar pro ones that all have drums when played from tab911, but not when downloaded.

Drop A AEADGBE I recommend Schecter to get the most for your money in terms of quality and features. My favorites are the KM series, the C1 series, and PT series, just depends on your price range.

I don’t use guitar pro, I use a completely free program called Tux Guitar. Look it up and try that! 🤘

true, only more popular songs will be easy to do this method. if its not super popular, u might be forced to program the midi from scratch.

Doesn't seem to work, I cant get tux to play the drums it only plays a synth sound and when I export the drums and open them up in EZ they are completely the wrong drums IE...where the snare should be is a cymbal.
Within tux guitar you can choose what type of sound is being used for each track. But I usually ignore that since I delete everything except the drums and export the midi. Sometimes the midi won’t be perfect you’re right, usually in most cases it’s just the snare that needs moved a couple lines up or down to match what drum software you’re using is the right snare sound you want. Even if stuff isn’t on the right lines, it’s still usually pretty fast to get the drums where you want and have the song ready for recording guitars. Let me know if you need anymore help and I can try to help your specific case.

What drums did you play for this? They sound excellent!
For some reason, it doesnt work with GGD Modern and Massive. It works fine with EZ Drummer 2 though
So do you get to the part where there is midi on your track but then GGD just doesn’t play any sounds? If that’s what’s happening, you may need to change the “channel” the midi is on. Sometimes I have to right click the midi block and it will be on channel 3 or 4 or whatever and I’ll change it to channel 1 and it will work. I’ve only had to do this with bass midi for some reason.

What is that a Schecter Guitar? Fast I got Damien the crazy feedback pickup pick-up and active emgs is pretty sweet seven-string Omen extreme the extreme models are all the best looking I think the beautiful see through red flame maple binding all the place anybody reads this man you got to check out shut your guitars his is pretty damn sweet too. He had some newer when I was a single car that look like a strat but looks futuristic saw recently some new model to check that out

Man I like you I love jam with you I play guitar and bass son pretty good I lost some gear and I went the hospital and got sick drug stuff happened cuz I was injured and surgery surgery and then prison Atlantic Wall my family sold my sacred. That I wouldn't I didn't you can sell drugs or anything that I loved. Now I got to get some more gear and I could play just bought anything on a guitar I tend to play with them my brother played lead if you don't really play anymore but I'm really also more of a master bassist and if I got good enough guitarist I just get on that bass guitar I got to grab another Ibanez which is easy they're everywhere or cheap and I am a big Robbie Merrill fan Hollow Godsmack you're the guy I'll get my stuff together and if you ever like round chicago-area one day in the future it'd be nice to jam you got you got you got it down man you sound better than everybody I think including the van himself I was just watching him do some songs talking about some stuff as a blessing and stuff like that already know it play bunch of those songs of wave stuff like that I've been playing it really retarded face stuff letting my brother's tear it on the lead especially since he had the wall puddle and he's morally guy we play Metallica One and Only playing a lot of stuff that Alice in Chains. @@seigneurfred6954 at the time of this video I think I was using Line6 Podfarm tone presets but now I mostly use Toontrack Ezmix2 and Guitar Rig 6 with no actual amp or cabinet. Just guitar into interface into DAW with plugins making the tones.

Wow! I don't know what you did in mixdown but you made the drums and this whole mix SLAM! I love how you found a way around the kicks rhythmically early so its not just all straight chugs
Thanks so much that means a lot! I used Toontrack EZMix2 on the master bus with a single preset and I used JST bus glue on the guitar bus, drum bus, mix bus. Guitar tones are also ezmix2 and bass is EZbass.
